Gooroos Call Reps a N00b for Asking 'Do You Have Any Other Questions?'
Intel Brief
It's literally just being a decent human. The buyer's about to spend thousands and you won't let them ask a question?
I love listening to sales training gooroos call reps a n00b for asking a buyer:“Do you have any other questions?”And it's always the same “don’t say this, say that, bro” crowd…who magically has the “right answer” for every human conversation (and it's never the answer you have either). And that “right answer” is usually an overengineered, performative 12-step sequence that if not nailed perfectly,is going to cost you the sale...…because let's be honest, If I'm a sales trainer and I make selling SOUND hard enough, you’ll think you need to pay me till the cows come home just to keep up with me...yet sadly, only to ever become a knockoff version of them. Here’s the truth:First, stop trying to copy sales trainers. You arn't them.Second, if you simply walk someone through the offer, make sure they understand what they’re buying, and you’re not hiding the ball…“Do you have any questions?” is a STELLAR question.Stop treating it like a psychological landmine. If they have questions, answer them.If they don’t, close the freaking deal. That’s it. That’s the WHOLE thing.I’ll ask it multiple times until the air is clean and there’s nothing left unsaid. It works just fine for me.Real sales is clarity + [buyer] autonomy. You don’t need scripts. You don’t need weird phrases buyers never hear anywhere else. You need NORMAL human language, deep product knowledge, and the courage to tell the truth. And here’s the part gooroos hate:The hardest part about selling isn’t “selling.”It’s making it feel easy. And “easy” usually looks basic.Success is almost always hiding inside simplicity.Any questions?
