Fake Diagnosis, Real Invoice
Intel Brief
If a gooroo can convince you the problem is always you, they can sell you the cure forever.

If a gooroo can convince you that you didn’t close a deal because your tone was off or your objection handling was “subpar”…
They can convince you the cure is wiring them $5k for “the fix.”
Problem identification is PARAMOUNT.
And one of the looniest scams in high-ticket is accepting a fake diagnosis… from the guy selling the prescription.
Think about it, when you ask for help, how often do those same gooroos audit the offer, question the leads, or scrutinize fulfillment?
They don’t.
They just scrub minute 27 of your call for the wrong tone and missing a 4th tie-down.
Your success as a sales pro DOES depend largely on the vehicle you’re in. That needs to be addressed.
When it’s not, the solution ends up being misdiagnosed.
When you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Yes, take complete ownership of your life.
But remember this:
Everything can be your responsibility without it being your fault.
You can own the outcome AND stay honest about all variables: lead quality, offer clarity, orientation, fulfillment, timing, market appetite, etc.
If you let someone brain-wash you to believing the problem is ALWAYS you…
You don’t become “coach-able” (like they say you aren’t unless you accept their feedback).
You become easy to sell to.
Build checks & balances around what feedback you receive:
Get a 2nd set of eyes (not the person upselling you).
Track actual patterns, not vibes or one-off anomalies that are getting used as the standard.
Separate “I can improve” from “I’m the problem.”
Extreme ownership isn’t self-blame.
It’s a healthy balance between counting your chips honestly and calling out a rigged table.
