'Our Setters Perform or You Don't Pay' Belongs in the Garbage

“Our setters perform or you don’t pay.”
I want to highlight why I think this statement, although catchy, belongs in the garbage.
so keep your shirt on and let’s unpack what it’s really saying.
First, they’re calling reps "theirs". Like...property?
No. Reps aren’t owned. They choose where to work and who to align with. Treating them like they’re under your control is the fastest way to drive them away.
Second, they’re promising YOUR performance. As if a company or recruiter can actually guarantee how another adult is going to act, produce, and grow.
Wild.
That’s not a guarantee. That’s an well-packaged marketing illusion. And illusions always come with consequences.
Here’s the reason this matters: when you frame people this way, you create the culture that follows.
Reps stop being partners and start being pawns. They churn faster, trust erodes, and everyone loses.
And the numbers back it up: turnover in this space is 85%. You don’t get that kind of collapse by treating people as valued professionals. You get it by reducing them to commodities with a return policy.
Yes, the work output of a rep is the product... BUT the rep themselves is not a product. They are people made in God’s image, with conviction, hopes, dreams, skill, and the God-given capacity to take responsibility for their own results.
That’s why words matter. Words don’t just describe reality - they shape it.
The Bible is clear: The words we use reveal the way we see people.
“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” ~ Matthew 12:34
If a company speaks about you like you’re cattle, don’t be surprised when they treat you like a disposable asset instead of a professional partner.
Some will say this is just semantics. Maybe I’m splitting hairs.
But there’s a reason the saying goes: “the devil’s in the details.” And here at the Casino, those details are exactly why 85% of reps don’t last.
