'Selling the Exit' Is One of the Cheapest Tricks in the Gooroo Playbook

Intel Brief

If we have to lie about letting someone leave just to keep the call alive, where's the pride in that?

“Selling the exit” is one of the cheapest tricks in the gooroo playbook here at the High-Ticket Casino.

It’s like the dealer telling you: "Sure, cash out any time you want"... then sliding your chips back onto the felt for another round.

If you’re blissfully unaware of what this tactic is, here’s how it works: a buyer says “I want to think about it” or “I’ll talk to my spouse.”

We respond with a smile and PRETEND to agree:

“Totally, no problem. Before you go and XYZ, what do you think your spouse’s biggest concern will be?”

Sounds polite, right?

Wrong.

It’s a setup.

Why?

Because it’s not agreement. It’s a lie.

We SAY we’ll let them off the call, but we never planned to.

The whole trick is to bait the buyer into "lowering their guard" and revealing what’s "really on their mind" so we can loop back in and keep pressing.

Some buyers never notice. Which is exactly why this cheeky ploy keeps getting taught: it works just enough on the unsuspecting to make the cut.

And it’s ALSO why prospects start cycling canned objections.

When the conversation feels rigged, honesty doesn’t feel safe anymore.

This is low-quality sales.

It’s not about clarity, certainty, or helping someone make a confident decision. It’s about keeping them trapped at the table.

They pushed their chair back, and we slid it forward again.

Real sales doesn’t need to trick anyone.

If we have to promise one thing and secretly intend another just to keep the call alive, where’s the pride in that?

Have some sense of respect for ourselves and for our fellow man.

This is beneath us. If our word can’t be trusted in the small things, like actually letting someone off a call when we said we would, why should anyone trust us with thousands of their dollars?
