“Sales is becoming the most valuable skill in the age of AI and trust.”
Eh, mostly agree. But I think what’s getting left out here is that it’s not “sales” itself that’s getting more valuable. It’s TRUST happening THROUGH sales that’s getting more valuable.
Your super slick pitch that’s uber polished ain’t worth jack, anymore. The robot does it for a dollar.
But what the robot CAN’T fake is a rep who actually knows the offer cold, tells the buyer the truth (because they are an industry insider and know all the real answers) and can STILL close when the buyer holds every ounce of the decision. Which they always did, by the way.
That’s the thing that survives the AI flood. Not “sales skill.” Domain expertise plus honesty.
The smooth talkers and tonality togglin’ gooroos are about to find out the hard way that the market finally caught up to them.
