The Inbound Illusion: Why You Shouldn't Torch a Great Setup

Intel Brief

Don't abandon a highly profitable, low-hour outbound role just to chase the illusion of easy inbound leads.

I had a guy message me yesterday who's in an OB full-stack SaaS role but looking for something “inbound.”

He’s making \$350K+ a year, working under 4 hours a day, mostly from recurring contracts.

I told him straight up:

Do. Not. Quit. Guard that with your life.

If anything, stack another part-time role.

Don’t torch a great setup just because the gooroos keep preaching “pre-sold, ready-to-buy inbound leads.”

How often do we find that actually happen, anyway?

There are people who would trade their firstborn CRM login for that setup.

That’s way too good to walk away from.

Sure, inbound roles SOUND sexy…but there is always a cost, and this cost is you’ll give up a ton of consistency.

The oscillations between good and bad months in this space are violent and unforgiving.

It takes a different kind of skill-set to surive here, than it does in your more "corporate" enviornments.

The grass isn’t greener. It’s just a different shade of hard.

Yeah, the High-Ticket Casino might have “more inbound”…but that simply trades one type of hard for another.

And you don’t get the good without the hard.
