You Don't Have A Sales Problem, You Have A Marketing Problem
Intel Brief
If your sales team is struggling to close uninformed prospects, you don't have a sales problem, you have a marketing problem.

Founders… if your sales team is “struggling”...
but your marketing is handing them prospects who are 90% uninformed and 10% ready to buy -
instead of the other way around,
You do not have a sales problem.
You have a marketing problem.
Somewhere along the way,
The gooroos started preaching this Looney-Tunes fantasy that closers should “take cold people and make them hot.”
No.
Absolutely not.
And it’s exactly how you burn through good reps while blaming the wrong department.
Marketing’s job is simple:
Get buyers to the table fully educated and properly filtered (price range included)
and with enough context to make the call worth their time and your rep’s time.
If your sales team has to spend the first 20 minutes downloading basic info about who you help, what you do,
how you fulfill, and where you sit in the market,
or waiting till the last second to "drop the price" (gross).
Then you’re literally rolling out the red carpet for buyer hesitancy, uncertainty, and resistance before the call even starts.
Sales reps aren’t magicians.
And they shouldn’t have to compensate for unclear funnels, rushed nurturing, weak DQ processes, poor expectation setting…
and then be told to “fix it” with “better objection handling".
Here’s the uncomfortable, shirt-ripping truth nobody selling “elite closer frameworks” wants to tell you:
A great sales team cannot save bad marketing.
But great marketing can make an average sales team look heroic.
And as a recruiter who sits in the middle of this ecosystem every single day…
The #1 reason reps churn is because of bad, insufficient, or inconsistent lead flow and why industry churn rate is 85%.
In other words:
You don’t have a sales issue.
You have doodoo marketing and a belief that “a lead is a lead is a lead.”
The offers with the healthiest pipeline always have the healthiest reps…
And they're also the ones printing the most money.
