The Double Standard Behind Sales Rep Churn
Intel Brief
Companies hedge against turnover while expecting reps to absorb offer instability without protecting their own income.
Companies will literally hire "extra" reps because they EXPECT some of their current reps to quitAnd they'd rather just keep people cylcing in and out rather than fixing the very thing causing the churn to begin with.
BUT when a sales rep wants to work multiple offers to protect THEIR income from the same volatility?
"You ain't committed bro. We need reps ALL in with us".
Please.
Companies want to hedge against rep churn (in a super dumb way btw).
But reps can't hedge against offer lead flow and systems going belly-up overnight?
(which is what they should be doing and are 100% ALLOWED to do according to the US government).
