Why You Should Send Your Price Before the Call
Intel Brief
Sharing your pricing upfront respects the buyer's time and agency, naturally filtering for high-quality prospects without the need for manipulative sales tactics.
Gooroos will tell you NEVER send your price too early.
“tHeY dOn'T uNdErStAnD tHe VaLuE yEt”
Pshhhhh.
For the birds.
I value my time WAY too much to play that game.
When possible, I send a 2-minute pitch, a robust Q&A, and all the important details (including the fee) BEFORE a call.
If they like what they see, great – let’s jam.
If they don't, also great – we both get our evening back.
If they say "it’s “oo expensive,” no worries. That’s the price.
I’m not asking “compared to what?” (shudder).
I just tell the truth and let adults decide like adults.
And I can tell the truth because I actually know my stuff - I spend time staying an "insider" in the niche I service.
Not to mention...
Being insanely forthcoming – no “big reveal,” no “I just need to understand your situation better” garbosa – is wildly attractive. Buyers LOVE not being handled.
Respecting someone’s agency is one of the most empowering things you can do in a sales conversation.
Helping them INCREASE that agency?
Even better.
An empowered “no” is still a closed loop I’ll take ANY day.
I don’t want a 6/10 who got strong-armed into “yes.”
I want the 10/10 who was free to walk away and chose not to.
The truth does a fine job of sorting that out.
And it’s the easiest thing on earth for simpletons like me who can’t memorize 47 word-track variations.
If I just know the right answer, I can’t get it wrong.
The truth applies to everyone.
