The Truth Is Posture: Why Lying to Prospects Kills Your Credibility
Intel Brief
Sales professionals should never use lazy lies like pretending to be too busy, because the truth is the most powerful and attractive position you can hold.

Gooroos will tell you "not to lose your posture" during your follow up with a prospect by saying something like:
"Hey Brad, by the way, I couldn't get back to you sooner, I got stuck in a few meetings last week."
What a loony-toon crock of doodie.
You want posture?
Try not lying.
And the worst part about this little trick?
It’s not even a good lie.
If a prospect thinks about it for two seconds,
they'll realize it makes zero sense.
How do you not have 20 seconds to send a text?
Nobody’s in meetings all day, every day, for an entire week.
It’s lazy.
It’s low-quality.
And it insults the buyer’s intelligence.
Pretending you’re too busy is EXACTLY why buyers don’t trust you to begin with
And I'm willing to bet that's why they didn’t buy from you on the call either—you were probably too busy regurgitating the same “pretend” garbage your gooroo fed you there, too.
The truth IS posture.
It’s the most attractive position there is.
You NEVER need to lie to make a sale.
EVER.
Not white lies, not embellishments, not little stretches.
Anyone teaching you to bend the truth is bending you OUT of sales mastery and INTO sales fakery.
Drop ‘em.
The truth is potent and powerful.
It needs no assistance.
